Come meal deal with me 2
Good afternoon,
Welcome to the second instalment of my blog which I am required to write as part of my Marketing course. Sadly, none of my flatmates were brave enough to join me this week so I grabbed my warm jacket and headed out in the rain. This week I headed out to Tesco Express on Sauchiehall street. My hopes for Tesco were high as they are known for their good selection and meal deal quality. They didn’t disappoint!
What did I get?
Main meal
For main I took a different angle to last week’s disappointment. This week I copped myself a chicken and chorizo sandwich. The make-up of this sandwich was solid and the spongy brown bread complimented the contents beautifully. Tesco are clearly an experts in the sandwich department. Overall, this sandwich was delightful and managed to raise my spirits on such a wet day.
Drink and snack
I grabbed an orange Lucozade sport as my drink. This was a strong choice and complemented the sandwich well. For snack I went with a bit of a rogue choice of sweet chilli houmous with breadsticks. This snack was good, but I would have to say it was the worst part of the meal deal. The quality of houmous was good but I was left with lots of houmous at the end due to the small number of breadsticks provided.
The price of the meal was three pounds. Considering the quality, I thought this was an absolutely bargain. Sainsburys charged more for a much poorer meal deal. I would have not begrudged paying more as there were very few faults with the meal deal.
Final score:4/5
I would completely agree with you, Tesco has the best meal deal. Looking forward to seeing if my opinions will change from reading more
